Corporal Oscar Puna lays waiting in agony as army doctors prepare to treat his deep shrapnel wounds at the 6th Infantry Division’s headquarters in Camp Siongco, Cotabato City, Philippines. Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) guerillas had fired rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) at a truck carrying Army soldiers from the MILF’s former headquarters in Camp Abubakr back to Cotabato City on February 18th, 2003, wounding 7 and killing 11 other men from the 64th IB.  All in all, the military suffered approximately 15 casualties, while the MILF lost more than 200 soldiers during the battle of Buliok and subsequent clashes in four Central Mindanao provinces.
